Welcome to the Australian International School of Bangladesh. As Principal of Campus 1 I bring over 25 years of educational experience as a teacher, principal, college teacher trainer and administrator in the United States and international schools.
Our school vision is to provide an international quality educational program for students from ages 3 to 8 on Campus 1. We have international and local teachers creating a warm and supportive learning environment that challenges all learners to achieve high standards.
We use the Western Australian syllabus so that every graduate from our high school will have a recognized Western Australian certificate of graduation. At the primary level we focus on implementing the newly adopted National Australian Curriculum which has been under development since 2010. Our grade three students are given the same assessments (NAPLAN) as students attending schools in Australia. This allows parents to know how their child has achieved compared to the national achievement levels in Australia.
While we are an international school we include lessons in Bangla language and culture for students aged 5 years and older. Special events include a book week, student performances throughout the year, special days for parents and family to be guest readers, sports days, and celebrations of many Australian and Bangladesh holidays. Our After School Program is offered throughout the year to provide enrichment activities beyond the school day. Classes are designed to be hands on and an extension of the curriculum.
