Message From Principal, Campus Two and Three Dear Parents and Students, It is a great pleasure to write this message as the Principal of Australian International School, Dhaka's Campus Two and Three. I have over thirty years of experience as a school administrator in Canada and China. I believe learning is a life long experience and students need to develop the skills and understandings needed to realize their potential. This is accomplished through the Australian curriculum. The curriculum is hands-on, activity based curriculum with expected outcomes and it stresses critical, as well as, creative thinking skills. We want our students to ask questions and take a risk as they prepare for the external assessment requirements of The Western Australian Certificate of Education in Year 12. This certificate will allow students to apply to universities around the world. I am very eager to work with my staff of well qualified and experienced teachers and with you, the parents. I encourage open communication and as such I promote an open door policy to students, parents and teachers…if you have a problem, we have a problem. My door is always open so feel free to come and see me. I am looking forward to meeting all of you. James (Jim) W. Burns |
