No placement for students aged 13 until August or during semester II Campus 3 The Australian school year begins in January and as such Semester I is in January which means August is the beginning of Semester II. As we export data to SIRS in Western Australia we need to use their labels. However, our students are a half year ahead of Australian students until Year 12 and as such our sequence of naming Semesters is odd. For example, we begin Year 10 in August but must call it Semester II followed by Semester I in January to complete their Year 10.
